There you were.

Working alongside Hanji, helping her with the tests she took.

Eren didn't understand it, but his emotions weren't like normal around you.

Was it because of that song that you made up?

What were the lyrics?

I want to talk with you"

You were alongside Hanji, who was making weird liquids, singing the song while you were working.

You made it up a few weeks ago, and now you couldn't stop singing it.

Not that Eren didn't like your song.

Everyone found it as a nice song, and loved to hear it.

The happy melody, cheery, yet shy lyrics.

It seemed to cheer up anyone who heard it.

Even Heichou seemed to become happier when hearing you sing the little song.

Was it happy?

The lyrics seemed a little..

Eren watched you carefully as you opened a book, read the contents, and then wrote something down on a piece of paper. He couldn't really do anything other than sit, so he watched you as you moved around. Hanji noticed his staring, but he then looked down at the ground, so Hanji kept moving along, putting bits of things into a beaker.

"Eren? What's up, you look a little bored sitting there. You want some company?"

"H-Huh? O-Oh, sure, I guess that'd be nice.."

"Good!" You said as you sat down next to Eren.

Eren shifted a little when you sat next to him, his ears turning a light pink that, thankfully, you didn't notice.

"Uh, t-thanks fro sitting with me," Eren said nervously.

"Anytime, Eren! It's fun just hanging out with you!"

Eren looked down nervously, Hanji noticing his movement.

She knew Eren's secret.

Eren had a rather big small crush on you, but he had only old Hanji.

"Anyway," Eren said, looking back up at you, "I wanted to know, why do you help Hanji?"

"Hanji's my cousin." You said, standing up to get a book.

"Eh!? Really!? But you seem so down to Earth, and Hanji seems.." Eren said with a shocked expression.

"So crazy and enthusiastic about every little thing?" You asked hugging Hanji in the process.

Hanji gave a laugh and a smile, as you flicked her forehead. You then sat down next to Eren again, opened the book, and sang.

"He-he-he-hey, hey, could you wait a minute?

When Eren heard the song, he started humming the tune with you.

Soon, you found what you were looking for the book, and left Eren's side. Eren still hummed your song, thinking about the lyrics.

"Heheh.. Isn't that [Name]'s song your humming there, Eren?"

Eren was startled as he heard the voice of the mad scientist.

Eren looked over at your back, and the way your (h/l) (h/c) hair flowed with every movement. He couldn't stop staring! Hanji gave a light chuckle and pat the Titan-boy on the back.

"Yes, i-it is.. What, it's not like it's a bad thing, right?"

Hanji laughed, "Well, I guess that's right!"

Eren continued to watch you, as you grabbed one beaker and swirled the liquid inside.

"So, Eren.. When are you going to say something? You've got to at some point you know." Hanji informed the Titan-Shifter, as he jumped out of his chair, startling the (h/c) haired girl in font of him. He gave an apology, which she returned with a smile.

Eren loved to see you smile, it made him feel more at ease, like Titans didn't even exist. He wanted to always see you smile, although there were times when you weren't able to smile. Death was one of them.

Although he would protect you if death came knocking.

"What can I do? What's the point
Um.. What game should we play?
Word games?
Daqui-"ri"..."Ri"-n.
I'm sorry, I'm not very good at this."

There it was again.

Your song was being sung again.

And there you were.

Off to go to on the expedition with the rest of your Squad, your song being a little light of hope.

"Hey, [Name]. Why're you singing your song now?"

You looked over to see Eren riding alongside you.

"W-Well, my song.. I-It's like m-my hope, I g-guess."

Eren raised an eyebrow at this, but soon continued to focus on the path. As you went into battle, you focused on killing the Titans that came your way. Eren was surprised for a second, but then focused too.

As he sliced the nape of a Titan, he heard your song being sung.

"Are you hungry? Want something to eat?

Umm... I....I don't have water
Take your eyes off the monitor
I have to simulate distance

And yet I watch that idiot
My throat is dry and I can't speak

Eren wanted answers to all his questions, but you had already left to kill another Titan that had tried to attack you.

Eren watched as you sliced the nape, singing quietly to himself.

You were out slashing around with your blades, getting some practice in.

This process of your training kept your mind on one track, and off the Titan-Shifter next to you.

Slowly you started thinking about your song, and ended up starting to sing a verse.

"I want to convey my feelings
Why is it so hard?"

"Come on, [Name]. It can't be that challenging, can it?"

Startled by Eren's presence, you almost spun around and slashed him.

You put your blade back in it's sheathe, and then turned to face the male.

"H-Hey, E-Eren.. I-I need t-to.. Well, I-I kind of.. Ugh."

You closed your eyes, and gave a confused, yet challenged look. You then gave a sigh of defeat, and your shoulders slumped downward. Eren looked rather startled, but only tilted his head a little to the left. You waved your hand, and opened your eyes.

"S-Sorry, Eren. I-It's just weird.. I-I gotta run.. L-Later!"

"H-Huh!? [Name]! Hold on!"

Eren tried to stop you, but you could run rather fast.

He understood a little more about that song.

He knew it was about someone and your feelings towards them that you couldn't convey. Eren then felt a little sting of something in his chest. He held a hand up to his heart, and then moved it outward, inspecting it as though there would be something there. What was that? Eren didn't understand where that pain had come from, but he shook it off.

For now.

"Do it, Rin! Come on, just one verse, pleeease?"

"Fine, but Hanji, could you not call me by my last name?"

You were outside with the cadets from the 104th trainee squad, the rest of Squad Levi, and Hanji.

There was currently a campfire going on, and you were out here because Hanji literally dragged you out there.

Everyone wanted to hear you sing that little song you made up, which was why this campfire was started.

"Okay then [Name]," Hanji said from next to Eren and Erwin, "Sing the song!"

"Sure."

Everyone then began singing the tune, for you to start singing the lyrics.

Some people started laughing at the funny lyrics of "Rock, paper, scissors, iced coffee", whilst others tried singing along to the lyrics that they knew. Eren closed his eyes and began listening into the laughter, a smile tugging at his lips, as he continued to hum the tune of the song.

"W-Wait," Connie called from his laughter. "H-How does it go? The iced coffee part?"

"What can I do? What's the point?
Um.. ro-ro-rock, paper scissors!
Rock, paper, scissors, iced coffee, I think
I'm sorry, I'm pretty boring"

Everyone burst into laughter, except for Levi, Mikasa, and Eren. She only let out a chuckle, Levi was trying not to smile, and Eren was watching the way the fire light made your skin look so soft.

When Petra finished laughing, she wiped a tear from her eye, and looked up at you.

"Hey, [Name]?"

You hummed in response.

"Who's that song about," Petra asked, leaning forward towards you.

Everyone's laughter seemed to die down, and everyone was fully engrossed in the subject of how this song was truly about.

You rubbed the back of your head, thinking of a way to get out of this.

"W-Well, it's a-about.. U-Uh.. Hey, who that over there?"

Shockingly, that distraction worked.

Everyone, even Levi and Mikasa, turned to see whatever you were talking about.

You took this as a moment to escape, and ran as fast as you could to get out of the situation.

When everyone turned around to see that you were gone, they all let out sighs.

"Should've known," Hanji said, pushing up her glasses with her index finger. "Should've known."

"She can't hide forever.."

Eren was currently looking for you after what happened last night.

Somehow, you had just..

Disappeared.

No one had seen you anywhere, and you were just gone.

But Eren didn't stop looking for you.

He wanted an answer to the question Petra asked yesterday, and he expected to get one.

Eren then realized the one way to find you.

He stopped moving, and listened.

"Are you hungry? Want something to eat?
Um... I.....I don't have water
See, even if it's sudden
It's kind of a weird feeling, sorry"

There you are.

It was rather stupid for him not to look there.

You were in Hanji's office.

Quietly, Eren stepped into the office, finding you staring at a weird purple liquid, while sitting in Hanji's chair. You didn't move from your position, so Eren decided to wait to ask you for the answer to Petra's question. After a while of waiting, Eren heard soft humming and then the lyrics of your song coming from you.

"Maybe it's surprising
But, I wanted to hear, err...
Sigh... What to do

No good, it's scary as ever

"Do you need help? You could just tell me, and I'll tell them for you."

You were startled by the sudden voice in the room, and you ended up almost knocking over the liquid. You walked over to where Eren was standing, and looked down, finding your shoes interesting.

"Is something bothering you?"

"I'm being honest, you see.... I-I, I, I, I, I.. Hey, you are, um... I, sorry, wait.. I-I... I, I, um.. hey.. You, I li... Hey, honestly, ugh, I, um.. I, um, um, hey.. You're... um... I, sorry, wait, he-hey.. Umm, I.... You're the one that...!"

Eren gave a sigh at your stress.

"You don't need to force yourself. I have a question to ask, too."

"Oh, okay.. Hey, I, you're the one that... Hey, I, you're the one that I.. I, to you... Li, li, li-li, li-li, li...li.. Li-li-li-li, li, li, li, li.. Lii, sigh.. Sorry, forget it.."

Eren closed his eyes.

"You sure?"

"Yeah, whatever.."

Eren put his hands on your shoulders, a serious look in his eyes.

"Who's that song about?"

Your eyes shot wide open.

"W-Well.."

"Please tell me. I've been wanting to know for a while, now."

"Uh, um w-well.. I-It's a-about E-E-E-E.. Ugh.. I-It's about y-y-y-y.. E-E-E-E-E..!"

"Is it 'Y' or 'E-"

"Eren, I love you!"

Your face lit up like a Christmas tree, as you quickly looked down. Eren had shock written all over his face, which you took as a bad sign. He didn't know what to do, no one had ever written a song about how they felt about him. He's never even heard of someone doing that before. Did he have feelings for you? That was the question he needed to answer.

"Y-You get w-why I couldn't s-say it, now?"

Eren pulled your shoulders, bringing you closer to him, and your gaze to his.

"How long have you been singing that song?"

"A-About e-eight weeks.." You tried averting your gaze, but your brain wouldn't let your eyes wander.

"And how long have you had feelings for me?"

You nervously messed with your hands. "A-About eight m-months.."

Eren gave you a blank stare, and you returned to looking down, your face still several shades of red.

"H-Hey, E-Eren.. I-I n-need to finish-"

You were cut off by Eren putting his own lips against yours. It startled you at first, but then Eren brought you into a hug, making you feel comforted and loved. You then began to relax and kiss back slightly, hoping that Eren's feeling's were real. He proved they were by bringing you closer to him, and bravely kissing more. Suddenly, Eren broke the kiss, but he kept a hand around your waist.

"Heeeey, Eren!!"

Now you see why Eren broke the kiss.

Connie.

"Really? Connie, you have horrible timing, like, the worst."

"Huh?"

Connie and the gang then noticed Eren's hand around your waist, and Sasha began squealing like crazy.

"I'm gonna go tell everyone!!" Sasha shouted, running off with a potato and Mikasa around the building, whilst Reiner tried taking you away from Eren, only to get sucker punched where it hurt most. Eren then gave a look that read, 'If you even so much as come within a foot near her, I will break you' to the other males who he hadn't bodily harmed. They held up their hands in a way that signified that they wouldn't be hurting you anytime soon.

"Reiner, you need to learn sometimes," Eren said shaking his head. He then noticed the sweat from Reiner on his hands, as he wiped it off, muttering about how that was kind of disgusting.

"I hope you don't mind Hanji," you said, blushing and looking away from Eren.

He gave you a cheeky grin, but you simply gave him a soft kiss on the lips, causing him to turn away.

"Don't do that to anyone else."

"I love you too much to do that."
